I have in my possession my floss and some new needles to begin that perpetual calendar I have been working on.
Unfortunately, I still do not have my patterns. However! I received a tracking number today, and they should be here sometime Friday. So, I know what I want to do this weekend.
Fibers and fabrics and tools Oh my!

The Candy Shop of all Needlearts
I have discovered The Nordic Needle! http://www.nordicneedle.com/
This place is a candyshop for needleart enthusiasts. They have tons of gorgeous stuff, the people that work there are really friendly (at least their online team, which is who I have dealt with), and their customer service is the best.
Name the thread, tool, kit, fabric, or style of needlework, and I would almost bet they have it. I have now placed two orders through them to start preparing for my perpetual calendar, and have been way more than satisfied each time.
Anyway, back to stalking that mailman for my pattern.

Welcome to my blog!
I love working with fibers and doing needlework, quilting, and anything that allows me to get my hands into all of those wonderful fibers (threads), fabrics, and neat tools. It is also often provides me with a sense of peace and relaxation. I have to be honest, I tried needlepoint, and decided that the cost to benefit ratio for myself was not worthwhile, so after one very, very small project (that continues to be a UFO, or unfinished object), that I was going to traverse away from that attempted interest.
Currently, I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of Sam Sarah Design Studio's Perpetual Calendar. It is basically many, many smaller projects that culminate in a perpetual calendar. I decided that this would also be a great way for me to experiment with many of the flosses that are out there. When I first started cross stitching many, many years ago, you primarily had two choices, DMC and Anchor. Although there really isn't anything wrong with these brands, I have learned that there are a myriad of wonderful overdyed names out there, not to mention many, many different fibers to play with. Cottons, silks, wools, rayons, blends, the options are endless! This led me to the idea that I would try a different brand with each month and maybe even get more adventurous and try some others with the add ons that are available.
Now, time to stalk that mailman!
